Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area will be hosting family-friendly crafts and games in the Outdoor Centre from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Join staff in the west hall for button making, tree cookie art, guessing games and an eyes only scavenger hunt to take out on the trails. We also have bird seed available to feed the chickadees. The snack bar will be open for hot or cold drinks and snacks.
The Family Day activities scheduled for Mac Johnson Wildlife Area have been cancelled due to lack of snow and icy conditions.
Cross-country ski rentals, lessons and snowshoe rentals are not available. The warm temperatures and rain have melted the snow and trails are not suitable for grooming or skiing. We will need 10+ cm of new snow to resume grooming and rentals.
