Join us at the Outdoor Centre to learn how maple syrup is made (registration required). An interpretive talk and demonstration area will be set up on the back lawn of the Outdoor Centre where staff will take you on a journey where you will learn how maple syrup was made in the olden days and how we make it no.
Demonstration Area: Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area
- You will meet staff at the Outdoor Centre to be take to the demonstration area. Please meet by the yellow physical distancing sign.
- The talk / demonstration will last approximately 45 mins.
- You are welcome to walk the trails, visit the maple shop, and find family friendly activities at the Outdoor Centre after your demo.
- As a reminder, due to covid-19 restrictions, we are not able to offer wagon rides, puppet shows or have pancakes this year.
COVID-19 Protocols: Face masks must be worn at all times while in the demo area for the safety of staff and other participants. Please follow instructions from staff and practice physical distancing. If you or anyone in your household is not well, please do not come to the conservation area. Stay at home and follow all public health guidelines and protocols.
Registration: registration is required to attend the maple talk / demo. Please use the registration form below. Cost is $3.50 for children 12 and under and $5.00 for adults. The Little Cataraqui Creek gate fee is not included in the registration price and is $5 per car when you arrive at the conservation area. If you are a Annual Pass holder the gate fee is $0.
