Join the Friends of Mac Johnson Wildlife Area for our Winter Fun Day/Family Day Festival on Monday, February 19 from 10 am to 2 pm. Mush Larose Dog Sled teams will race on trails 1 and 2 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and kids can create a snow village, snowshoe, build a bird feeder and play games in the Kids Zone. Campfires with marshmallow roasting, a chili and hot dog canteen plus hiking on the trails will round out the day.
The Friends are hoping for lots of snow by late January. However, if enough snow does not fall, the Winter Festival will go ahead anyway with different activities we have planned for kids and adults!
