The Frontenac Arch Biosphere, in partnership with Cataraqui Conservation, is operating summer camps at Mac Johnson Wildlife Area throughout July and August for children from 5 to 11 (plus one or 2 leaders in training of 11 or 12 years). Every Wednesday, we will have 20-30 campers at the nursery during our work bees broken up into 3 groups. Stefan Foerster, our nursery leader, organizes activities for the campers and the friends volunteers work with the group leaders to help the youngsters with their activity. Rain or shine these youngsters show up ready for a morning of fun and excitement. This is just another way that the Friends of Mac Johnson are able to help their local community.
