The railway History signs are up! All along the Cataraqui Trail signs have been placed at historically significant railway locations. From the western end of the trail at Strathcona, where the first train passed in 1884, to the eastern end at Smith’s Falls where the trains arrived in 1909. You can see some of the locations on google maps if you search “historic railway locations near me”. All of the locations will be available in google maps soon.
