Cataraqui Conservation staff will be conducting tree removal activities at the Lemoine Point Conservation Area (weather dependant) between Monday June 9 and Friday June 13, 2025.  The removal is focused on ash trees that have died due to the impact of the emerald ash borer. Tree removal will be limited to those trees that are considered a potential hazard to trail users. Staff will be closing off areas and directing visitors to other trails while forestry activities are taking place.

Please obey signs and barricades while the work is being done.

Cataraqui Conservation would also like to remind visitors to stay on marked trails within Conservation Areas as Cataraqui Conservation supports natural forest processes by leaving dead snags that are beyond the trails and open areas so that they can continue to support various ecological functions.
