On November 7, 2025, the province posted a proposal on the Environmental Registry of Ontario (ERO 025-1257) that would consolidate the current 36 Conservation Authorities into seven Regional Authorities (see Update: New Conservation Agency & Consolidation of Conservation Authorities post for further details).
Cataraqui Conservation has reviewed the proposal and submitted the following written response to the ERO proposal and consolidation of Conservation Authorities.
December 22, 2025 is the deadline to comment on the ERO posting. Anyone wishing to comment can visit the Environmental Registry of Ontario to review the proposal and submit feedback. Comments can be submitted to the ERO posting page or to ca.office@ontario.ca.
