Update: June 1, 2026 - The section of Trail from Chaffey's Lock to Clear Lake Road is still closed due to flooding. The trail is not passable in this area, see detour map below. Maple Leaf Road to MacGillivray Road is now open.
May 22, 2026 - There are two sections of the Cataraqui Trail that are flooded and not passable due to blocked culverts and beaver activity. Please see details below for detours. The sections will be closed until further notice, an update will be posted when work has been completed and the trail is passable.
1) Chaffey's Lock to Clear Lake Road is closed due to flooding. The trail is not passable at this time and staff are working to bring the water levels down and restore the trail surface. Please avoid this area and use the detour indicated on the map below. Detour: follow Chaffey's Lock Road (south of Cataraqui Trail)
2) Maple Leaf Road to MacGillivray Road is not passable due to flooding from a blocked culvert. Trail detour is north of the Trail following Maple Leaf Road to MacGillivray Rd.
