Drinking Water Source Protection

On behalf of the Cataraqui Source Protection Committee, Cataraqui Conservation would like to invite you to review and provide comment on the proposed amendments to the Cataraqui Source Protection Plan and its associated documents. The Cataraqui Source Protection Plan is a locally developed plan of action (policy document) aimed at keeping sources of drinking water clean and plentiful, as required under the Clean Water Act, 2006. The Cataraqui Source Protection Plan has been in effect since April 1, 2015. This amendment was undertaken to incorporate updates to Source Protection Plan policies to improve policy effectiveness and to adhere to the amended Technical Rules.

The comment window for public consultation is Feb. 28 to April 3, 2024.
