At the first post- COVID Fall Festival at Mac Johnson, the Friends brought back varied activities for the whole family. The "Kids Zone" was popular all day as youngsters carved a pumpkin for their family then moved on to painting a rock and making a paper airplane. Then came a potato and spoon race and fall scavenger hunt.
The ever-popular Mush Larose dog sled club held timed training runs on the area’s trails: one or two Malamute or Siberian husky dogs eagerly pulled Mushers riding scooter bikes. Mushers invited visitors to pet their friendly dogs.
After an outdoor BBQ lunch, families roasted marshmallows and walked on the trails by the water, inhabited by flocks of geese and trumpeter swans at this time of year.
We hope they will be back for our winter event in January!
