The first grooming operations of the season took place on Wednesday January 29. Conditions are variable and with no new snow, we are not able to groom again since we would damage the base that is currently there.
Trails 1 and 2 were in very poor condition during the week and have deteriorated Friday with the warmer weather. These trails are not good for skiing please avoid these trails. They received minimal snow cover in areas due to the forest cover and have some tree roots showing through the snow.
Trail 3 has also started to deteriorate on the back side of the trail.
Trails 4 is in good condition and has been track-set. The service roads to the sugar bush and dam are in good condition and been compression dragged for multi-use such as walking, dog walking, skate skiing and snowshoeing. Trail 5 is in its natural state and also for multi-use.
Cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals are available this weekend at the Outdoor Centre from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. Please visit our winter recreation page for online booking details.
Please do not walk, snowshoe, or walk your dog on the track-set trails. These are a unique feature in our area and very time consuming to produce. Please respect the time and effort staff put into these trails by helping us keep them as pristine as possible. Our winter ski season is very short.
