Cataraqui Conservation will be closing off public access to the boat ramp on Hay Bay in the Town of Greater Napanee on Thursday, Sept. 24, and Friday, Sept. 25, to allow contractors to remove trees that were toppled over during the severe storms in late August.
The boat launch is located at 2401 South Shore Road.
Contractors will be removing most of the downed tree material on Sept. 24, with Cataraqui Conservation staff clearing the remaining brush and cleaning up the entire site on Sept. 25. It is expected that the launch will be returned to service on Saturday, Sept. 26.
There are other boat launches in the area for public use, including:
• The Greater Napanee Launch at 753 Third Concession Road;
• Bayview Drive boat ramp at 110 Bayview Drive; and
• Cuthill Lane boat ramp at 124 Cuthill Lane.
